Privacy Policy

• The email address you submit to join the waitlist.
• Limited technical information your browser sends automatically (such as your IP address and device/browser type), and basic, aggregated usage analytics, where applicable, to keep the site secure and working.
• A flag stored in your browser's local storage to remember that you have already joined, so we don't ask you again on that device. This stays on your device and is not a tracking cookie.

We use your email address to:

• add you to our launch waitlist;
• email you about Suma's launch, early access, and any founding-member offer you've expressed interest in; and
• respond to you if you contact us.

Our lawful basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). By submitting your email you consent to us emailing you about Suma's launch as described above, as required by PECR for marketing emails to individuals. You can withdraw your consent at any time — see "Your rights" below — and every email we send will include an unsubscribe link. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we never will. We share it only with trusted service providers ("processors") who help us run the waitlist — for example our website hosting provider and our email delivery provider. They act on our instructions under contract and may only use your data to provide their service to us.

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) so your data stays protected. You can ask us for details using the contact above.

We keep your waitlist email until Suma launches and for a short period afterwards so we can tell you it's live, or until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe — whichever comes first. After that we securely delete it. If you never engage with our launch emails, we will remove your details within a reasonable period.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure, including encryption in transit, access controls and working only with reputable providers.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• be informed about how we use your data (this policy);
• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased;
• restrict or object to our processing;
• data portability; and
• withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email support@sumatax.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113 — though we'd appreciate the chance to help first.

This waitlist site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use a single item of browser local storage to remember that you've joined the waitlist on your device, and any analytics we use are limited to understanding general site usage. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.

This site and the waitlist are intended for adults running or planning a business, and are not directed at children.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
